ViaLite Precision Timing Keeps US Stock Exchange at Peak Performance

A prominent US stock exchange uses new ViaLite optical fiber GPS/GNSS links to ensure its IT systems receive mission-critical timing and synchronization signals. Knowledge of the precise time is crucial in guaranteeing the performance of high-speed, low-latency trading systems.

The distributed GPS equipment includes a ViaLite GPS 1U chassis with integrated 1×8 and 1×16 GPS splitters for the receiving side. Also supplied are Blue OEM modules for the transmit side, which can support links as long as 50 km or more.
